Parkinsons UK

We are a local branch of the national charity Parkinson's UK.

Parkinson's UK is a charity that works to improve the lives of people affected by Parkinson's by:

• Research
  Funds research into treatments and the causes of Parkinson's. Parkinson's UK is the largest European charitable funder of Parkinson's research.

• Support services
  Provides information and support for people with Parkinson's, including medical issues and emotional support. Parkinson's UK also offers a free online program for people recently diagnosed with Parkinson's.

• Campaigns
  Campaigns for fair benefits and high quality health and social care for people with Parkinson's.

• Local services
  Provides local services, activities, and support. Parkinson's UK members can join their local support group, which is set up and run by members.

• Volunteer opportunities
  Volunteers can help improve the lives of people with Parkinson's in many ways, including taking photos at events and reviewing research funding applications. 

Parkinson's UK's mission is to find a cure, help people live as well as possible, and make sure everyone understands the real impact of Parkinson's.
